Mrs. Sophia McCullough, widow of the
late George Washington McCullough, passed away at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Lillie Malone, at Indianapolis yesterday at 1:10 a.m. after a week’s
illness of pneumonia at the age of 65 years 2 months 13 days. The interurban car was met by Miller &
Son, undertakers of this city at the Girton power station today and taken to
her home in Putnam County. She is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs.
Lillie Malone of Indianapolis. Miss Ethel McCullough of Plainfield and Mrs. Ira
F. Hoffman of Terre Haute and Geo E. McCullough of Plainfield, and Mrs. Ira F.
Hoffman of Terre Haute and George E. McCullough of Putnam County and one
sister, Sarah E. McCullough of Putnam County. Funeral services will be held at
Walnut Chapel at 1 p.m. Saturday. Interment in Croy Creek Cemetery, the Rev.
Avery of Greencastle officiating. – kbz
